"What the heck is a Deriss?" you wondered as you chose the portal . . . Having arrived, you
look around, and instantly spot them. Looking like a cross between a deer and a horse, they are tall and majestic. You count
seven, and wonder if that's all that there is here. Then, you hear a voice in your mind . . .
*What do you think of my herd? There aren't many of us here, but we are very happy and get along well.*
Behind you is a large brown Deriss! He continues speaking to you, staring at you intently. *Would you like to meet the rest
of my herd?* With that, he jumps right over you and bounds off over to the rest of them.
Stiffling a sigh, you head off after him.
